Industrial Estate Extension
An extension to cross croft industrial estate at Appleby has seen its first group of new industrial unit’s 1-4 Ashbank Building recently completed. Planning permission was approved for the extension to the estate on the 17th December 2016 around the same time as the devastating floods hit the town of Appleby, with detailed plans approved on the 18th March 2016.
The development supported by the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership Rural Growth Network was hindered initially by the saturated ground conditions as a result of the sustained rainfall the area witnessed in the early months of this year.
Cross Croft Industrial Estate enjoys many successful companies in its accommodation. By Extending the fully occupied current site and thereby allowing the space and scope for existing business to grow as well as providing opportunities for new start up business. The extension to Cross Croft in Appleby will hopefully help to ensure that we keep the skills and employment in the local area.
